45. She's five years younger in CC. People grow up. I actually like that she's a slightly different person in CC than she is in the OG - if she were exactly the same person, I'd find it pretty eerie and bad writing, personally. I think she still has plenty of spunk, and is it so hard to believe that maybe, just maybe, Zack was a catalyst for her becoming a more independent, fearless person? That was the impression I got, and if it wasn't what was intended by Squeenix, then I think I prefer my version. >>

47. Okay, seriously, did they put these secrets in this order for the lulz or what? Yeah, some of the OG fans are a little Compilation-hating. I might be one of the people you mean, really. But most of us didn't actually play it in 97, anyways (99, myself), and it's not like none of us like the Compilation games. I think CC is a great game. It's not what it could have been, maybe, and I don't think it lives up to the OG by itself, but I personally enjoyed it and liked it, so it's not like OG fans can't like any of the Compilation games.

I think the problem is that no matter what you say in this fandom, someone is going to be offended. Praise the Compilation, and the Compilation haters will be annoyed, insult it and the Compilation lovers will be annoyed. Imo, if you've played both the old and the new, you can make your own judgment on whether or not the new is any good. But then, this is the FFVII fandom - calling your opinion dumb and unworthy since 97, after all.

I agree, and I was gonna say the exact same thing--I just started replaying the original game a few years ago, and the way some of the scenes are written in CC parallel that of FFVII itself in terms of Aeris' interaction with Cloud.
