Too bad he is the one who got the whole point if the reboot least and, in fact, it's not surprising he us a fan favorite and praised as the best by those who hate these movies being another reality. They weren't supposed to be carbon copies of the tos characters and I feel unlike the others, be adds nothing new or unique to this reality to his character. It's like watching a biopuc of Deforest's character.

I disagree. I'm a fan of both TOS and the new movies, I don't hate this is set in the alternative universe, and I like all of the reboot actors. But I still like Urban's McCoy the best. The actors had a choice with how much continuity they'll play their characters, and Urban went with a lot, apparently. I don't see anything wrong with that, especially since he's been doing such a wonderful job.

You really think that his Bones is a carbon copy of the original? Huh. Sure.

I find it sad someone should think that. He's been a wonderful Bones, true to character, yet still playing it in his own way, especially in the new movie. Really hope they give him more space to grow in the future movies.
