I just decided that I'm going to try to take some kind of interesting international trip before/when I turn 40. I don't have a savings plan worked out yet, but I have just over 3 years in which to do it.

I can highly recommend and I know it's a cliché, but the experience can change you (for the better) if you let it.

It wouldn't be the first time I've been out of the country by a long shot, but I'd like to go someplace really different than anywhere I've been before, like Iceland or Mongolia (I've never been to Eurasia or Africa at all, just Australia and the Americas).
