Yeah I guess that makes sense. The Fallout fandom imo is a way more fanart-centered fandom than fanfic-centered.

Same. I hate Danse too, and I only ship him with Hancock if hate sex is involved.

I haven't seen or encountered many homophobic fans myself, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Same. I despise brotherhood but both Maxson and Danse are wonderful vehicles for degrading hatesex.

it's really gross homophobia under the guise of crying bi-erasure and a slew of ~uwu friendly reminder m/f rlationshps are important for bisexuals uwuw~ posts if you ship SGA things instead of exclusively m/f stuff so believe me it's there and gross as fuck. It just got worse because of stupid fucking cullenwives from DAI flooding the fandom when it was already homophobic to begin with (and bonus misogyny)

I haven't been in the fandom since around March, after binge playing the game until there was nothing left to do, and while I was in it, I never noticed it being homophobic. But now that you say that, I actually realise it kind of was, and I'm curious as to how I was blind to that before.

(Sidenote: I love Danse and Maxson, and the Brotherhood as a whole. I think I might have been too busy shipping them together, or with the Sole Survivor/Lone Wanderer. Or all of them, as my only OT4.)
