I agree that the OP's best course of action is to stop playing the game. But it's not the case that no one will ever have any reaction to what they see in a game or movie.

Well, yes. I have had negative reactions to movies. Requiem for A Dream gave me a panic attack. I solved that by never watching it again.

Mostly the final scene where it shows all the characters and their endings. But really anything involving the mother really bothered me.

Yes. But what I don't understand is why OP continues to play the game that disturbs them. Again, you stop playing something if it bothers you so much.

OP may not know it but there's probably something cathartic or pleasing in the game. It feels good to be bad... To polygon people with no souls.

Sure, unless you are disturbed by it. In which case, it seems like it is problem for you that could be solved by switching to playing Animal Crossing or something.
