THIS SO MUCH.

I'm not averse to the 'young adults end up not perfect parents' thing (people were really salty about that for Aang, but he was excited that there was ONE more airbender beside him), but you cannot tell me that Han and Leia were such bad parents that their son would be pushed to the dark side more than groomed by a malevolent force. No fucking way.

I can totally see Han and Leia being a little neglectful because they're trying to build an entire government up. I could also see Kylo being the kind of kid who needed more attention than an average kid because of how strong he was in the Force. I could see that leaving him vulnerable to Snoke. But no way that Leia didn't try her damnedest to be there for Kylo when she could. And when she and Han were there, I'm sure they were very loving and supportive of him.

Exactly. I definitely expect them to be far from perfect but not intentionally so and not abusive or hardcore neglectful.

Though I'm p. sure it's canon that Leia didn't tell Han that Snoke was bothering their son because she didn't think he could do anything against a force being. [Citation Needed] but I'm almost sure.

Yeah, exactly. I can see them failing on parenting skills,n but not on love.

I'm not sure at what age Kylo was sent away to Luke, actually. If he was still fairly young, intentions aside, it could have easily felt like his parents trying to get rid of him (children aren't particularly rational). But a big event that drove Kylo to the dark side was also the way he got to know about who his granddad was: Over the Star Wars equivalent of TV. But that was when he was already an adult.
