ooooh stick with it! the first few eps are probably the weakest in the whole series and it gets AMAZING

I tend to give a series about five episodes to find its footing before I decide it's the show I don't like and not the early episode glitches.

That sounds really obnoxious and narrow-minded.

I mean, nothing wrong with only giving a show five episodes and then quitting, people only have so much time to spare on these things. But five episodes and then you "decide" it's not the early glitches? That's not how shows work.

(Also I have to say I still cannot for the life of me fathom why people refuse to ever skip ahead to check whether a show gets better. Why. Why. It is so easy.)

/I have never seen a single episode of this show, so I have no horse in this race, pardon the pun

Huh, I don't get called narrow-minded very often and I wouldn't have thought it would be for only spending 2.5 to 5 hours on entertainment before deciding if I want to spend more time on it or not. I don't like skipping around things I'm unfamiliar with. It's a bit disorienting and isn't likely to make me like a thing more. I like to start from the beginning. As you seem to have noticed, that's pretty common. But I do often go further than that five episodes that's just an estimate and I also go back to things that I once decided I wasn't interested in to give them another shot if there's still something I find interesting about them.

You're taking this guideline of mine way more seriously than I do.
