I'm pretty sure that this one was just bait.

But I would also say that you missed one of the other ways in which the secret was horrible (it implies that what happens in the book would have been fine, and even romantic, if the girl had been 16 instead of 12).

There is a WORLD of difference between 16 and 12. But let's face it, this relationship wouldn't have been healthy even if she was 24.
