I'm definitely on the Jasperetemption train and I wouldn't say they've ruled it out entirely. The last episode definitely showed that what happened to Jasper weighs heavily on Steven; I think it will definitely be addressed again. (In fact I think she might be the first corrupted gem he heals as she hasn't gone 'all the way') Plus, Rebecca Sugar mentioned in a recent interview that Jasper has a lot of internalised self-hatred, which would be an odd thing to mention if Jasper was supposed to be irredeemable.

But it's true we might have to wait a while to see her redemption. I hope not, but it's possible Jasper could stay bubbled for a while. However the current season is focusing on Steven discovering different views of Rose, ones that differ from Greg's and the Crystal Gem's, and I can't help but think that Jasper's view of Rose is one Steven will want to know more of. Not that he will learn Rose is a villain or anything, but he's realising that Rose is more (human? gem?) fallible than the idealised Rose Quartz her friends (understandably) remember.

It'd be very interesting thematically if Jasper's more positive attributes came to light just as Rose Quartz's more negative ones were shown too.
