One time my sister and I were talking to this kid, and somehow kids with disabilities came up. I forget exactly what he said, but he started saying something I thought was against ableism, except it ended being very ableist. So I'm nodding along, and of course my sister was horrified. It was hard to back myself out of that one.

(This was probably ten years ago, so I forget the exact conversation, just that I felt really bad when I realized I'd just "agreed" with something so terrible.)
