Re: Most Disturbing Agreed Upon Arguement

It just bothers me because like. There's this implicit attitude some people have - and maybe this isn't what you're doing - where they're two things on the same scale, in the same proportion, and they're just not. One is so much bigger and worse than the other that comparing them morally is just wrong. So I guess I have a bit of a hair trigger about people who seem to be saying WHAT ABOUT RIOTS, you know. I apologize if I'm being unfair there.

You are being unfair. You're not even reading what I am trying to say. And you clearly realize you aren't, because you apologized.

I'm not saying people should never protest. I'm saying burning down someone's house is wrong. That's all. FFS.

But - I guess - my question is, how can you get worked up over it

Over people deliberately preventing firefighters from putting out a house fire of a person who had done nothing wrong? That seems like a pretty nasty thing to me.

What if it were your house?

This. If my house got burned thanks to rioters, pretty sure I'd be pretty damn pissed about that.

...how can we get worked up over firefighters being prevented from putting out a fire set to an innocent person's house?

Seriously?

If I were a BLM member, I'd be telling you to get off my side, because you're making my side look fucking stupid.
