Oh, friend, I'm sorry. Therapy is a great first step, and a therapist will be able to give you ideas of how to move forward with anything else (talking to brother, etc.; I doubt the police would need to be involved, since it happened so long ago and they were both underage). Remember that there's no single answer to any of this, that you haven't done anything wrong, and that everyone is safe at the moment. As bad as this feels right now, and probably will for a long time, it's a good thing that your niece spoke up and you can keep her and the rest of the family safe now.

Hang in there, anon. Families are rough and this is some next level shit, but you'll all get through it. It sounds like you and your sister are pretty close, which is good. Keep good people around you :)
