No, it means Valinor is in a pocket dimension separate from Earth and has been since the destruction of Númenor (about 3000 years prior to the LotR events).

Interesting fact:, the name Akallabêth, which is the title for the Silmarillion chapter that covers the story of Númenor, translates into Atalantë in Adûnaic, the language of Númenor. Apparently the likeness to the name "Atlantis" was a coincidence - a happy coincidence according to JRRT himself.

...Although, the books do also say Men sailed westwards after the Fall of Númenor and found new, mortal lands, so that could be how the Americas was populated?
