Re: Tinder/Bumble/Grindr Thread

Grindr is pretty perfect for that 'I am going to deeply regret this once I go through with it' hookup. Generally go through cycles of re-installing it, getting a million creeps or really desperate guys messaging me in quick succession and uninstalling.

I finally got onto the Tinder and Bumble train last week. I need to sort out a proper profile at some point - my current one was thrown together for funposting on a whim, and is just a pick of me in shades, with a bio of 'workaholic, alcoholic, weaboo + height'. Still having more success then I thought I would, with a couple prospective dates on the cards.

Bumble has taught me just how bad most women are with opening messages online. Just an endless stream of "Hey" or "Hi :)". Come on fam, put at least the minimal effort into this.

If all they say is Hey or Hi I always assume they're bots...

not to add another element to this, but uh..why are you advertising yourself as an alcoholic ?

Pretty sure it's a joke. And you know, drinking is what you do in Britland, apparently.

I like how you still threw in a casually sexist bit at the end

(do you really think most guys are better at opening lines?)

You get more of the extremes from men (much better opening lines, and far far worse ones). Just a product of how the dating scene tends to work with a tiny fraction of women normally making the first move.
