HBO's Oz

Ohhh - I have heard of that! It's good, I take it? It intrigues me, though I hear it's also ridiculously intense/violent, and I tend to be a little bit of a lightweight with how much I can handle visually seeing. Judging by this secret and your comment though, it'd have my fucked-up kind of ships.

I can't d al with drug use, so Oz was not the greatest choice for me to watch. I wasn't interested in every character and every scene, so I fast forwarded a lot and read episode summaries. It was worth it because KB is exactly the fucked up kind of ship I was looking for. And the fandom was still around then (5ish years ago?) and there is a ton of great fic that really dives into their motivations and emotions and deconstructs every little thing they say and do. Plus there's all the great porn, both in the show and countless fics:)

Oz remains one of the best HBO originals to this date. The one prison soap opera to rule them all.
Tbh it's so over-the-top, you can't really take it seriously? While at the same time it really draws you in. It's the characters and their relationships that make it. (Bonus: a few of the actors were actual ex-inmates.)

I'd recommend giving it a try.
