To be fair, lemon flavor is usually pretty different from, like, pure lemon, and lemon in ice water is just a very different/milder beast compared to lemon candy, lemon desserts, or even savory dishes with lemon. I actually kind of agree with you, anon! Though I do quite like a little lemon with fish, chicken, or some vegetables.

AYRT - Huh, now that I think about it, I do like fresh lemon with fish, so maybe it is just the flavoring I have issues with?

nayrt but how do you feel about baked goods that use fresh lemon (juice or zest) as opposed to lemon extract? I find the former is very nice, but the latter reminds me of furniture polish.
