NAYRT--wow, I'm the anon who's always bitching about her drunk mom, her parents and brother both died from alcohol-related disease, and even I don't think the world will end if you have a beer. Also, how on earth is it your mother's business if you drink a whole fucking barrel, nevermind one beer? If you're 42, it's your body and your business what you put in it.

I'm sorry about your mom.

My mom has boundary issues (in that she doesn't respect either mine or my sister's.) Even though I know it's irrational, sometimes it's just easier not to give her a reason to butt in.
