Same here! I actually never dated in high school until the last two weeks! (I went to prom with a boy "friend," and pined over HIS best friend. Typical Barb.)

And then I dated a cute football player, what? Why didn't that happen two years before that? Not that I wanted to hang out with a more popular crowd, but I thought something was actually wrong with me. (Was I actively repellent?) So finally dating someone did wonders for my self confidence.

At our ten year reunion I found that everybody apparently knew/remembered me, and I don't know why, because I really didn't hang out with the popular student council kids or the like.
