one time when I was in like sixth grade we were going school shopping getting ready for the semester and i was oBSESSED with the idea of getting myself some big ugly sunglasses and I added a pair to my basket. the total came out to over $60 (an insane amount, at that point in my life), and I literally never wore the sunglasses out of shame

Shoe remorse is the worst.

Most of us have made the mistake of "these shoes are just a little tight, I'm sure they'll be fine". Then you realize that eventually it turns into agony. I once walked out to lunch in my winter boots, and on the way back to work, I had to stop and buy a new pair because they hurt so much.

Oh this is me, they'll fit fine but for a day of walking, not so much and then I get more frustrated trying to find cute walking shoes!

A rubber duck modified to look like Grell Sutcliff. It cost $25. I mean, the craftsmanship was nice and all, but what the hell am i ever going to do with it?

Junk food. I'll excitedly buy a packet of something, or some chocolate, and eat one or two pieces and then shelve the rest and never touch it again until it's time to throw it away. Unless it's salted dark chocolate, that stuff is real good...

In freshman year of college, I paid $50 for a semester-long workout class and never went to a single one.

I bought a thing a couple weeks ago. Thought it was a Captain America key chain since it was in the key chain section. Turns out it is just a Captain America string doll thing with a little chain attached. Which...still cool, but not what I wanted and now I still need a key chain.

Petrified wood for my tank then got home and realised it was $30?! Was going to return it but someone else wants it so I've onsold it.

A sous vide cooker.

The entire point of this $150 gizmo is that it's the ultimate low-and-slow cooking method, producing meats that are more tender and subtle and delicious than conventional cooking.

Or, when I actually tried it, producing steaks and chops somewhere between jerky and boot leather.

Mostly computer games I just don't play. Probably the biggest one is The Witcher and Mass Effect on Origin, because after I had my computer upgraded I couldn't download them again because downloading was so bloody slow for the amount of data.
