I did, because based on what OP said about themselves, they do not meet the definition of asexual. Because wanting to sex with a real person? Not asexual. Jared Padalecki - the body containing Sam Winchester - is a real person.

Rolling around on someone =/= sex, though.

How would you approach a man who self-identifies as gay who has a single woman that he wants to have sex with?

Would you insist that - no matter what he says - he's really biseuxal?

(Setting aside the fact that OP probably didn't mean "roll around" in a sexual sense)

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Um, yes? Because that's literally what bisexuality is "gay/straight ONLY FOR YOU!" is a bullshit concept.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
So you feel competent to decide how that person ought to identify and label themselves?

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
I feel confident on what words mean. People can't expect to make up their own definitions to claim the label they want and be taken seriously.

So, can a straight person who has been attracted to ONE person of the same sex go around in LGBT communities and claim to be bi? Don't you think that might rankle some people?

I mean, it kinda sounds like a lose-lose situation - either way someone is going to tell you you're WRONG about your label.

Maybe you should just let people label themselves and take them at their word.

I wouldn't be so rude as to tell him how to define himself.

But would I think he is actually bisexual? Hell yes.

They never said they wanted to have sex with anyone, fictional or real. Rolling around like a cat in sunlight does not equal sex.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-01 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Asexual is a spectrum tho. So literally you can be asexual because you HAVE to meet the right person/know them a a while to be attracted.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
THIS. Asexuality is a pretty vast spectrum. Anything from being repulsed at the mere idea of sex, to just not being interested in sex, to not particularly desiring sex but having some anyway, and approximately a bajillion variations in between. Finding someone attractive doesn't mean OP can't be asexual.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
Ahahahaha. This shit is hilarious. Shine on, you crazy delusional diamonds.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, this definition is uncannily similar (by which I mean EXACTLY THE SAME) to demisexuality, which people shit all over and call not a thing.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
which is also called grey asexuality.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is also a completely bullshit term for people who want a special label.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 09:16 am (UTC)(link)
then every person alive is on the "spectrum" of asexuality since sometimes they don't want to have sex

this is why people laugh at tumblr aces

They...didn't say that? At all? They didn't even come close to saying that??

Seriously, read the secret again. And stop trying to insist your interpretation of it must obviously be correct even though it's the one that goes against what OP is saying about themselves, and it requires more of a stretch.
