My mom is, my dad isn't. He died six years ago.

No. My mom died of cancer in 2000 and my dad died of heart problems (and all sorts of issues related to obesity) in 2008.

My father is. My mom died of cancer in 2011.

Mum is doing puzzles in a magazine behind me. Last I heard, Dad was still alive.
