I was 4 or 5 and my mom was picking me up from either pre-school or kindergarten and I was really upset because she had just gotten her hair cut short and she didn't look right.

I have vague memories of hanging out around the house when I was 4 or 5 and too young for school. I sort of remember trying poke in on listening to this kid who hated me read a book and leaned up and bit me. All the adults made a big deal of it and sent me home and I remember being a little stunned and worrying what the big deal was. It only hurt for like half a minute.

I remember sitting there in my little booster seat while Mom lectured me about why biting was a big deal.

From when I was four or five or so (18-ish years ago), and playing the first Tomb Raider with my dad. I remember falling down to where a bear was and getting so scared by it that I just tossed the controller over to my dad instead of dealing with it myself.

I was 2-- I'd been put to bed already and I was thirsty (I remember wanting milk), so I got out and started trying to go down the stairs. We had one of those banisters with bars going down the whole way, and I was holding onto them as I went down...only one of them was a little loose, and it shocked me when it moved, so I let go. And went ass over teakettle down the whole staircase. WHOOPS.

I have a memory of being stung by a bee in my aunt's garden from when I was about 2 or so, and my great-aunt, who was visiting from Greece, wanting to put wine on the sting. I think "kresi" (wine) might be the first Greek word I consciously remember hearing.

Earliest memory is either someone helping me to drink a little plastic cup of water while we were standing in my mom's hospital room, or being held up high in the air by my dad's soldier-friend. Both would have been when I was about 2.

I was three, so it most likely would've been '89.

I remember walking under the curtains in my room so that they'd cover my head and face, like a wedding veil. I'd seen 'Adventures in Babysitting' and was emulating Elizabeth Shue. A bookcase, filled with toys, was opposite the window, and it was the middle of the day, so there was a rectangle of sun on the floor.

It's significant to me because my parents hadn't bought most of the furniture for my room yet. I mean, there was stuff in there, but at some point they bought some kind of set, and I had it up until I was in college.

I remember seeing our dog walk down the hallway and being aware of myself existing in the living room probably at 1.5 or 2ish years old.

My oldest memory I think is when I was about 3 and we went to visit my great grandfather(mum's side) in his cottage in the country and we went on a family walk in the woods, he had a sheepdog that followed us around who I recall liking and when we got back to his house we had fish for dinner.

I have a number of memories of my life in my family's first apartment (where I lived until I was 4). I think I might have a memory of my mom being in the hospital giving birth to my younger brother (when I was 2) -- I remember being alone in the apartment with my aunt, knowing that my mom and dad were going to be gone for a day or two, and being very sad without my mother there. The only time my parents would have left me with someone for so long would have been when my brother was born.

I also have a memory from age 2 which I would often recall as a small child and wonder if it had really happened or had been a dream. The memory is of me sitting in front of our apartment door. I looked at the door and it was closed. Then I looked at the door and it was open. Someone grabbed me from behind by my shoulders (the way you reach for a folder in a filing cabinet -- overhand pinch grip) and somehow carried me like that quickly into my bedroom and threw me on the bed. That's all I remember now, but this memory/dream terrified me to think about when I was kid.

That is really weird. Have you ever asked anyone what it was? Could've been a dream but it also makes me wonder if either a younger child did it (trying to get you out of the way?) or an adult was worried about you seeing/hearing something you shouldn't. :/

I remember having a dream that a cat ate Mickey Mouse.

... more disturbing is the fact that I don't recall being particularly upset over this dream.

I was two, and I was toddling around after my aunt in a park. She was walking backwards to take a picture of me, and she fell right into a ditch. She actually broke her ankle - that's how I know I was 2 at the time. (The next-oldest memory I have had that same aunt in her cast and crutches - I was laughing at something so hard I was lying on the floor, and she put her casted foot (gently!) on my stomach to tickle it with her toes)

I remember the time I escaped out of my crib when I was two. Mom had put me in there to take a nap and I wanted to keep playing. I got over the railing and hurt myself when I landed on some toys.

Old lady next door had an epic garden that was like a maze. I must have been about 3-4?

That's it.

Two memories from when I was five:

One... last day of my first year of school. I remember finding out that one of my classmates in particular was going to be in a different class from me the next year.

The other... watching Pokémon at my cousins' place. Or at least the opening.

The night my little sister was born when I was 2.

I remember being on this big patio thing with tables, like outdoor seating at a restaurant or shopping arcade, and it was made of these big, square concrete tiles with pebbles embedded in them, and there was a guy playing an accordion. I had to have been under age 3, because I know this was not in the city where I grew up.

Also before I was 3:

I remember sticking the head of my teddy bear through a window and trying to push the window shut like a guillotine.

I remember the singing dolls in the It's a Small World ride at Disney Land.

Kicking some flowers in anger when I was three.

Apparently I had been stung by a bee right there the day before, and since I hadn't seen it I thought it was the flowers' fault.
