Aliens is actually my favorite movie and I've watched it (the extended version) so many times and while it is still scary, especially the face-huggers attack on Ripley and Newt, the movie itself is more action-horror, while the original is far more suspense-horror and I actually cannot watch it often because it's still so scary to me. I do genuinely believe that it's mostly because the suspense is so well done, but I recognize that some of it could because it scared me so badly as a child.
