I feel the same way about the slow readers in my school. I used to "help" them by telling them words/sentences they were stuck on, to get them finished quicker so we could move on, not realizing that maybe they were having a legit hard time and I was embarrassing them. I stopped once I found out about learning disorders/dyslexia though.
