Same thing for those with Down's Syndrome. One of my good friends has it, and she has to endure endless streams of how she's an "angel" and all this other dehumanizing crap. Everyone thinks she's just this empty, smiling, sexless thing (which on some level cracks me up because she's one of the most on-point, hilariously vulgar, horniest people I know), because that's the only way they're comfortable dealing with her. She's got a lot of anger about it.
