But...they have a point? What happens to the Inquisitor is a miracle in the eyes of many, and it makes 100% sense that an Andrastean is going to frame it through the lens of Andraste. Especially since, no matter who you are, the Divine is the reason you actually make it out of the Fade. So even if you tell them the absolute truth of what occurs, those who follow the Chantry are still going to see Andraste's involvement in it, through the Divine. Having the Inquisitor stand up and tell them to fuck off with their faith would either have no impact, or it would demoralize the Inquisition, which is the opposite of what you want to happen.
