Have you watched it recently? I adore Buffy, but I rewatched the first season a year ago and well...it has not aged well.

NAYRT - I like Buffy (and watched it later in the game, 2012ish) but I can see that. Especially given that while Buffy's character was progressive at the time, now every other action chick is a deadpan snarker badass in heels. And yeah, I guess there are some things that never aged well.

It's just...cheesy? And it was always cheesy, but when you take that a lot of the puns and clothes and jokes refer to pop culture, it's no longer the right kind of cheesy. not sure I'm expressing this well, but yeah.

AYRT - See, I actually like stuff like that. I like being able to say "okay, this joke because it was 1998" or whatnot. But I seem to be in the minority there.
