I baked a wonderfully tasty cherry pie. How am I ever gonna eat it? My SO is a crazy eater who won't eat anything red. I even gave 1/4 of the cake to my mom but now I'm stuck with half a cake with about 200g of sugar and 70g of Butter in it.
On the other hand, fuck it, I'll just start and see how far I get.

You are either a saint or the sex is phenomenal. Not being able to eat anything red would be an automatic deal breaker for me.

Same. I have a low tolerance for people with irrational food preferences. I'm not talking allergies, just weirdness like "no red food", etc. because I hate feeling like I'm dating a finicky toddler.

maybe he's autistic?

It's possible, but I personally dislike the "maybe they're autistic?" rationale every time dumb or socially clueless behavior crops up.

he's not. I did exaggerate a little bit. He does eat tomatoes, peppers and red meats. But that's it.

If he's primarily avoiding red sweets (including baked goods) and sauces, it's possible he has a sensitivity to red dyes. A lot of those products tend to have dye added to make them more appealing, and it's very easy to develop an aversion to something if it frequently makes you feel ill when you eat it.

Possible, but rather unlikely. The world is full of people who are special snowflakes when it comes to food and quite often, allergies don't enter into it. They're just plain old picky and everyone humors them.

yeah, the allergies angle has been considered because it's worst with strawberries and raspberries. but synthetic dyes can't be the issue because we don't eat ready made stuff. diy is cheaper around here.

Freeze some of it!

Yeah... I still have frozen plum pie taking up the space in the freezer because ...I'm the only one who eats that, too.
really bad case of first world problem.

lol

Put new pie recipes on hold until the rest gets eaten? Or save them for parties and get-togethers?
