The second one just doesn't come off that way to me.

With the third one, when you look at this:

On the other hand, I can see why someone going "I want more ____ fic" can come off as them saying "I want the writers in my fandom who are putting in their time and effort for free to magically produce more fic to my specifications for my viewing pleasure without me having to lift a finger or make any effort."

The problem I have with that is that I don't think someone going "I want more ____ fic" ever really does come off as saying that, and I think people who interpret it that way are just interpreting it wrongly. So, the problem I have with it is that it's a "The Truth Is Somewhere In The Middle" argument, and I don't think this is a case where the truth is actually somewhere in the middle. I don't think there's any reasonable way to interpret someone talking about what kind of fic they want to see more of as entitled.

nayrt - This. I don't get pretending like this is a logical interpretation. It's... just not.

Idk, your experiences may be different from mine but I've seen many a "WHY ISN'T THERE MORE X/Y FIC?? I WANT MY X/Y." type hyperbole posts in my years and... it definitely can rub people the wrong way, even if they aren't really going up to writers and making demands.

Yes, especially if it's one person continually doing this, while implying that the rest of the fandom is Doing Fandom Wrong for not catering to them, while they themselves are not contributing anything except the complaining to the fandom.

... and if someone jumps all over a person who isn't going up to writers and making demands, it makes them a jerk. Yes, even if there are jerks who do that, because taking out your frustrations on an innocent person who hasn't actually done the thing you're so strongly against is a dick move.
