I've been knitting nearly nonstop for the last few days after not knitting at all for about six months, and the finger I use to nudge the tip of my needle over on every stitch is getting incredibly sore. I wish I had a thimble, but I don't!

Oh man. I have a similar stress injury on my finger from cleaning. So annoying!

You could try putting some tape or a band aid on the fingertip?
