Bouncing off that, there's something I find can be worse than write it yourself, when people automatically offer substitutions in a 'gotcha!' way instead of a helpful way.

I once mused out loud about an idea something like Palpatine and Maul being the Jedi/Padawan pair to find Anakin and Qui-Gon as the secret sith senator and Obi-Wan as his apprentice, and got linked a bunch of AU Obi-Wan/Satine fic. Not... not what I was looking for, guis.
