Apologies if you were sincere, but it definitely came off like you had some theories of your own you were itching to explain.

I think it's a matter of perspective. Black man/White women pairings used to be the default interracial pairing for a long time, so that novelty isn't new. Also, those pairings emphasize the white female character, which is hardly original. So for black women and women in color, they don't get to see themselves represented in those kinds of pairings.
