(Anonymous) 2016-09-08 09:01 am (UTC)(link)I think a big thing these people don't understand is that a lot of actual real trans people use fandom as escapism to no be reminded of their daily struggles all the damn time and not tagging that stuff is more than shitty.

And both groups benefit from it being tagged.
The former find it easier to search for, the latter find it easier to avoid/blacklist.
(And people whose ability to handle trans!fic varies over time can make more informed decisions as to whether or not they can cope with a fic when it's tagged properly, too.)
