Ehh, some people just cannot express an opinion without implicitly denigrating the people who hold the opposite opinion. They go on a diet and they can't mention the foods you love without using the phrase "artery-clogging grease." They give birth with an epidural, and they write an essay about how they had an epidural because they're not a self-made martyr. They don't like a book that's generally well-regarded, and their review implies that everyone who did like it is just a sheep.

I think you touched on something I have not specifically put into words before but that is very true. I have seen many other examples of it lately and it's very annoying.

The first one that comes to mind is the difference between vegetarians/vegans who go "I don't eat meat/animal products" and those who go "I don't eat flesh from murdered animals, or chicken abortions"

Chicken...abortions? What?

And yeah, I see more bad attitudes from meat eaters to non-meat eaters but I think I've seen this specific phenomenon more coming from those vegans who are particularly self-righteous.

Another group I've noticed it in are certain childfree people. I get so man when I see them use words like "breeders" and "crotch droppings". >:(

No, I figured that's what they meant...hence the "what?". Because really...what??

I lost it at "crotch droppings" I've never heard that before.

Seriously? Lucky you. I see it all the time :/

I was trying to do a survey for drinks for a group thing, I asked what soda people wanted.

First comment "I don't drink sugary poison, so I'll just be having good clean water like God intended."

And they got so 'confused' when people got annoyed at them and seemed to think they were being negative somehow.

They give birth with an epidural, and they write an essay about how they had an epidural because they're not a self-made martyr.

My sister had the opposite experience. So many mother's giving her shit for giving birth with an epidural. Like she was less of a mother/woman for not wanting to experience pain.

No matter what you do, some sanctimommy will find an excuse to judge you.
