nah, but ones that are terribly formatted to the point that the eyes grow weary merely from skimming the page are.

the secret is obviously not talking about long fics theyre talking about the sort of fic where you click on it and you realize there is a startling lack of some sort of formatting it may be punctuation or paragraph breaks but the entire fic is one long sentence so you dont know if they typed it that way or if something went terribly wrong when they were trying to upload it and they couldnt be bothered to fix it but either way its not going to be the easiest thing to read I actually had a book torrent file do that where the entire book was missing periods and quotation marks and its amazing how much more frustrating it is to try and read something like that really I just downloaded it because my physical copy was in storage at the time and I didnt want to pay for a digital one or dig it out but I eventually did because its just not fun to read with no formatting at all

Asking loaded questions are. Nobody said anything about long fics being shit, but you immediately jumped to that assumption. Probably because of the chip on your shoulder, which I thought I'd removed for you. :(
