Yeah, and I'll spend over $40 replacing them multiple times in a year

What on Earth? I've been rocking the same pair of $15 earbuds from the drug store for three years, with no change in quality. I'm not exactly easy on them, either. How were you burning through them so fast?

So switch to Android. Nobody's forcing you to buy anything.

I take mine everywhere. I use public transportation, so my earphones are always with me. The longest I've ever had a pair of wired earphones last is 6 months.

Same for me, all of the above. I've not had the wires degrade on me at all.

And I have. I take them everywhere and eventually (after 4-6 months) the connection in the cord gets frayed inside and I lose sound in one ear.

I'd probably by bluetooth earbuds if I could wear earbuds.
