I find it funny when people ship Shatt but are anti Shiro/paladins because of the age difference when Matt looks just as young as the rest of them. If you call that trying to start shit, then yes, I guess I am trying to start shit.

I think they're fine with Shatt because it doesn't interfere with Keith/Lance and keeps Shiro out of the way. Most who are anti-Shiro/Paladins are really just anti-Shiro/Keith because they find it threatening, but they can hide under the anti-Shiro/Paladins umbrella to make it seem like it's about important social justice bullshit and not actually about petty shipping war bullshit.

Yep, exactly. They're pretty transparent, really. They're not interested in Shallura, but they still want to ship a Shiro pairing to keep him away from Keith, and the only option that won't immediately make them look like hypocrites is Shiro/Matt - even though Matt is clearly younger than Shiro, both based on his appearance and the fact that he wears a cadet uniform rather than the one reserved for officers like Shiro.
