Agreed so hard. I can't even be in the room when my cats and dogs groom themselves, 'cause the licking/smacking sound is like nails on a fucking chalkboard and it makes me want to claw my own face off just to distract myself from the sound. And don't even get me started on my aunt, who is deaf/aphasic and was never taught how to chew with her mouth closed. I spend most of her visits with earbuds in and the music on full-blast.
