OP is showing off their ~insider lingo~. In Hollywood they often call TV shows or movies "properties".

You don't actually think "properties" used in that context is sophisticated or pretentious, do you.

Because I can find, like, Buzzfeed articles that use that word that way and I'm pretty sure anyone with an IQ over 10 and access to the internet can figure out how to use it in a sentence.
