(Anonymous) 2016-09-09 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)I'm honestly baffled as to how this is 'edgy' and where your clear sarcasm is coming from.
Oh and OP I agree. People shouldn't be berated for what they like. If people have an issue then they should blame the creators for constantly bringing out things with lots of white men. Diversity is proving to be popular, so hopefully the creators/studios are coming around (ie the last Star Wars, Orange is the New Black etc, even the Marvel movies are starting to become very diverse).

(Anonymous) 2016-09-10 01:19 am (UTC)(link)To me this attitude of the OP is annoying because I see it all the time. "I love all of my white guy shows and you can't stop me!" It is very much a majority opinion and doesn't need to be a secret. I don't understand why it is such a big deal to talk about lack of representation or to talk about wanting more representation. I'm not saying every show/movie that is predominantly about white guys is crap and people should be ashamed to watch it/them. I'm saying that there are obviously societal factors at play that make so many shows/movies about white guys and it is nice when there is more than that. But somehow that makes me Judgey McJudgerson, and how dare I try to stop others from liking what they like!

(Anonymous) 2016-09-10 06:28 am (UTC)(link)But lots of other people do say that. OP's opinion isn't unpopular, but neither is the compulsion to shit on OP's opinion and make everyone who likes things about white guys feel guilty about it.
