Had to put my dog Miki to sleep today. She was 15 and a half and just couldn't walk anymore. Kinda feeling like a part of me died with her. :/

Really sorry to hear.. putting a pet to sleep is always heartbreaking, but all the more so when you've had so long with them. I'm sure Miki had 15+ amazing years and was truly loved.

I'll say what my mom always said to me when pets passed: all dogs want is to be loved and included, and you gave your dog that every single day. You gave her the best life, and she lived every day knowing she was loved by you. <3

I am so sorry for your loss :( She was a beautiful dog and I'm glad you guys had so many years and so many memories together. I grew up with my GSD and now twenty years after his loss I still miss him dearly, but the pain of remembering him is finally gone. I hope for that for you.

I am so, so sorry. I have had to do the same to cats we have owned, and it's just...the worst fucking thing.

15 years is a hell of a long time for a dog.

It's also been a hell of a rough year for you, hasn't it? I wish you any amount of peace you can find, man... losing a pet is hard.

That really, really sucks. Losing a pet is hard.
I was in a similar situation almost 10 years ago. And yeah, it feels like a piece of me is missing.

I'm not gonna say it gets better - this could be one of those things that will be forever at the back of your mind - but it will get easier with time.

Stay strong. Focus on the good memories and cherish them.

I'm so sorry :( At least 15 is a good life for a doggie...but it's always so sad to see them go. They're family.
