Eh, the current crop of whiny 16-year-olds are technically millenials, but so were the 80s kids who were among the "there is nothing too fucked up for the internet" school of thought that was prevalent up until the early part of the decade.

If anyone's to blame, it's the late-Gen-X helicopter parents who taught the tumblrteenies that the rest of the world is responsible for keeping them safe and happy.

i ain't even talking the 16-year-old twerps. i forgive them because they're too young and stupid to realize how fucking annoying they are.

i mean the mid-20-something grown-ass adults who should fucking know better.

I actually haven't seen much of that 'everything is triggering' attitude from the mid-20's people. Every time I see one they list their age as 14-17 and it's almost always aesthetic blogs with Love Live or Steven Universe icons.

Meanwhile the 20-somethings are mostly just shitposters or fandom blogs.

i've run into enough of them that i know they're a thing. tho you could still chalk it up to arrested development because of the helicopter parents.
