Yeah, the decision to have Tony, of all people, to be the one to drag Peter in when a major reason for his attitude the entire way through was a teen/college-aged kid dying during the Ultron debacle really showed that Peter was shoved in there at the last possible minute. They should've either changed Tony's motivation (make it a younger kid, or have him be confronted by an orphan who'd lost their parents, or...whatever), or had someone else bring Peter in. I'm not convinced the Peter Parker part of the script ever saw an editor at all, let alone one scanning for plot holes.
