It's the other way around ffs. Sure, if it's a sequel, experiences players had should be considered, but generally speaking gamers have fuck all clue aBout what makes a good game and what they would actually enjoy. Entitled gamers are the worst.

I think the newest developments in Dragon Age are a good example that listening to fan feedback can have good and hilariously bad results. Some things were alright and I appreciate that they tried with their take on representation of different minorities. But the end result was so massively cringey and preachy in parts that it killed all immersion in those scenes.

I haven't played DA:I yet. Did they at least accept the fan recommendation against copypasting environments? Because that was good fan feedback. That was GREAT fan feedback.
