I like my coworkers, but I really hate how they're always telling me about their lives. I'm not eager to hear about how your best friend's sister stole your fiance at eight in the morning before I've had my coffee and gotten settled in. I'm the newest person there and the youngest and I don't want to be rude, but I really wish they'd shut up and leave me alone. I've started having lunch in my car because they'd try to talk to me while I'm reading.

That's where the "Bitch Face" comes in handy. Just slap it on and most people won't bother with you. A few brave/stupid ones might, but they can always be ignored away.

I feel you on this. Usually I just have my face stuck into my phone so that they don't bother me. Fortunately I have my own office, so often I'll just hole up in there.
