It makes me sad to see people hate on Hoenn because I fell in love with it almost straight away...

Where in Hoenn would you live? I'd totally pick Mossdeep or Sootopolis.

Same here. I understand that, coming after Johto, which everyone loved, Hoenn was going to be a disappointment to some. But still--on its own merits, Hoenn is still pretty awesome.

I love Mossdeep, but Fortree and Verdanturf are up there for me also. Sootopolis I don't like mainly because I was so pissed trying to find it; that underwater cave eluded me for about a day.

Oh, I know what you mean- I LOVED Johto for ages and I didn't actually play Emerald until 06 (skipping R and S completely) because I was convinced that it would never be as good as Johto. But then I did and just.. loved everything about it (and then felt bad for bashing the third gen...)

Fortree is awesome, agreed! And yeah, Sootopolis is a pain to find but worth it once you're there, I think :D

Well, skipping R and S might've been a great idea; E is R+S+lots of awesome stuff (including a more prominent Steven, which pleased me greatly). I picked up E late too, and by that time I had totally forgotten about Johto and became entranced by the Advance's prettier graphics.

I could imagine living in Fortree if I focus on the "houses in trees!" aspect, but if climbing the ladders were a pain in the game, I can't imagine actually doing it. And my laziness translates over to Sootopolis too: switching back and forth between and walking was a pain. But then again, there was Kiri and her awesome berries. (But I'm totally overthinking this.)

I'm luke-warm about most of Hoenn, but my first thought upon seeing Fortree City was, "Oh my God, I want to live here!"

But the ladders! I mean, I love the treehouses and the general somber greenness of it all, but I'd be tired all the time.
