Oh no i was genuinely being sarcastic. When i first got into reborn, i loved how everyone would gradually become an actual family, and how they all revolved around Tsuna, i thought it was awesome. I really like shounen series with loads of people in it, because there's so many chances to get to know so many different characters, it's why i love idk Slam Dunk and Jojo and things like that y'know?

And i love the whole power up thing, and i love seeing them all gaining experience, and i used to get so excited because i so badly wanted to know what happened next- i mean it's fairly obvious, it's a pretty generic series, i'm not saying it's ~*~amazing~*~, i've read other series that are far better, but it is enjoyable and i loved the time-jump arc (well, i remember loving it, i haven't gone anywhere near Reborn for several months now though) and i thought it was just really great how the mangaka brought it out of nowhere. It honestly amazed me, as lame as that sounds, because i didn't see it coming.

But when you tell the majority of the fandom this, that you like...don't care about who ends up with who, and who's putting whoever's penis into whoever's anus, and you're reading it because it's a fun series and you want to know what happens- most of the time you're ridiculed :\

That's the thing I like best about Reborn, I think, haha: that they all really do become a family. And yeah, it's definitely not the most intelligent series out there, maybe not even the most exciting, but - to me at least - it's a whole lot of fun. And - again, in my opinion - a heap better than a lot of other shonen series out there.

I'll admit to being something of a shipper; I like both het and slash in Reborn, and I've written plenty of romance fic for it. But I don't read Reborn for the romance (lol, it hardly exists). I read it because, like you said, it's fun, and I'm always eagerly waiting for the next chapter to see who fights who next, and who grows as a character, and a hundred other reasons that DON'T have to do with shipping. But yeah; for some weird reason, people look at you oddly when you say that, both fans and non-fans alike. Because a lot of fans are in it only for the butt sex, lol, and non-fans tend to assume that ALL (or at least most) fans watch it only because the boys are pretty. Idk...it's kind of annoying, the stereotyping that goes on in relation to Reborn fans. YES, I LIKE IT FOR THE PLOT AND CHARACTERS. I don't get why that's such an odd thing, haha.

But yeah...it's nice meeting someone else who agrees! ♥

You know, i didn't think it would be such a weird thing when i first started being in the fandom ;_; Because i watched the anime when it first started airing which was...autumn 2006 i think, and i just thought it was hilarious and so so so stupid and fun. Then people told me to get into the manga too because it was so much better etc. read it, loved it, y'know the usual.
But for some reason, with the people i knew, they all assumed i would like the gokudera and yamamoto pairing 8| I was just like '8D..........what' because i was too busy laughing at the series and enjoying the fights with Xanxus' lot and everything, that i found it too stupid to HAVE romance in it rofl
Don't get me wrong though, i like het and slash but 8| the majority of the fanbase is really dead set on you having a pairing because so many genuinely read it for the pretty boys. And yeah it's a pain in the ass they way that Reborn fans are stereotyped like that but i'm not surprised when others find you weird because you think it's a fun story with interesting characters ¦D
