Do you get your nails done? Do you do them yourself? Or do you not care about your nails? If you do them (or get them done), what's your favorite color polish or do you prefer nail art/designs?

I have my nails painted pretty much all the time and I do it myself. Lately one of my favorite things is alternating black and white. I love burgundy too and I have a lot of greens and blues.

I wish I could, honestly. My nails are really tiny, though-- the nail beds are extremely short, and my nails rarely grow out far enough to justify doing anything with them. The only time I went to a manicurist, she just sort of humiliated me over the size of them and how hard they were to work on, so I've been kind of put off it. :(

Well that wasn't nice of her! (But if your nail beds size bugs you, you can lengthen them slightly by pushing back your cuticles on a regular basis. Just make sure your cuticles are soft and pliable, like right out of the shower.)

I paint my own nails about 50% of the time, just a solid color (usually something darker, although I'm wearing a beaige-y shade right now since I had job interviews).

I never get my fingernails done professionally because I always chip them like 2 hours later. But I looooooove getting pedicures; once I'm out of grad school and back to a regular budget I'm going to start going once a month.

I was fidgeting so much today teaching that I broke two nails. I'm mad about it.

I bite them a lot. It's not that cute.

I don't really care about them, but they were flaking off a few month back, and my bff bought me some nail care/hardener sort of thing and it works really well.

I have another friend who's jealous about how I can grow them, but I'm just lazy in maintenance, so I let them grow until the bother me and then I just cut them off.

Also my bf things long nails are a bit creepy and since I do not mind either way, I tend to cut them shorter often.

I used to be more artsy and patient with decorating them, but they mostly are nude of one colour now. Sometimes with a glittery layer on top. I favor blues because you don't often see those and I love blue <3

I cut them myself usually and they are always terrible. Sometimes I let my sister experiment on my nails with different polish and designs.

I bite my nails, so they're really tiny and gross. My godchild likes to give me manicures and she gave me one yesterday, so my nails are pink today. I paint my toenails because the bare nails are ugly with little cracks in them. My favorite color is black because it reminds me of fun stuff that happened in high school.

I have my nails painted most of the time, I had a break of about a month without polish recently but that was due to me breaking a nail on each hand and I can't have painted nails that aren't the same length, it just doesn't look right. So I waited for them to grow out and now they're blue.

But I've never been to a salon to get them done and I don't think I'd ever bother tbh. I have no interest in getting acrylic or gel nails done and I'd rather put on the polish myself at home and make a bit of a mess than pay someone way too much to do it for me.

I like bright colours a lot but I'm also very prone to defaulting to black because it goes with everything, and I like having dark nails.

Not much point--I keep my nails really short (like pared down almost to the quicks), because I play the piano and can't stand to hear fingernails clicking on the keys.

I love doing my nails and love nail wraps, polish strips, and regular polish. I tend to go for greens and blues, blacks, animal prints, and florals. I used to do acrylics but haven't had them in years, now I prefer my natural nails as they're nowhere near as high maintenance as acrylics were.

I get my nails done professionally occasionally. I get pedicures a lot because I accumulate a lot of dead skin on my heels. Sometimes I get manicures in addition to pedicures. Sometimes I paint my own nails. If I'm going to the nail salon, I usually choose a color that I think fits the month at hand. Sometimes I'll get nail art/designs, but not very often.

I almost never paint my nails, but when I was making my customised Lego Silamrils, I bought a couple of bottles of nail polish to use to seal the edges of some fabric I was making dresses out of (and with how small Lego figures are - even the Elves and Friends style figures, it's too small to sew, so a sealant works best), and ended up painting my nails with it out of boredom. I ended up buying a bottle of black polish and doing a paint of black with silver glitter.
