Really? Shows that have canon gay males as prominent characters and not used as a joke? I'm sure there might be some out there but not that many and nothing that's very popular.

On the contrary I can think of quite a few stuff with canon lesbians/bisexual girls: PMMM, Life is Strange, and Korra off the top of my head.

Except PMMM is all about how girls deserve suffering for daring to have wishes, Life is Strange you have to sacrifice the bae to save the world and Korra barely touches on it.
