I don't think i've encountered such people. Most of my friends have simply kept in fandom but grown up.

One of my friends is getting married and just bought a house, and yet he and his fiance are like super big superhero fans and even got a fair amount of SDCC exclusives.

Tbh, they're not originally fandom friends - your friends sound cool, though.
